  This suggestion is funny because it's true already. See those phone without a detatchabe battery? I guess they're on all the time even when switched off from power button. Of course battery drain will eventually turn them off but they stay on to the last minute.

  That's a bad idea. Some of the phones don't feature a removable battery. You need to be able to reset the device in case something happens. It doesn't happen often, but occasionally I need to reset mine.
