Continue to use Zune for media sync in WP
The WP sync app/manual copy is inferior to Zune for syncing media. Return to Zune for syncing media, including playlists and play counts.

The fragmentation created by dropping Zune prematurely and splitting the experience based on which OS you had, 7 or 8, or what phone OS version you had 7.5, 7.8, or 8 leaves customers frustrated and often irate. I expect solid if not amazing music management, I want deep discoverability in finding music based on related artists, who they have influnenced, and even through friends who share similar tastes. Everything I had with Zune. Zune had many of the same features Spotify and Last.fm have, but overtime they were removed or watered down.

Zune with WP7 was far superior. I used to make about 12 50-song Smart DJ playlists that would auto-refresh & sync those to my phone. Voila! Constantly fresh music taking up a small amount of space. With WP8 I actually had to download ITunes & use its inferior "Genius" playlists. I need to have the same functionality for WP8. Please correct this issue immediately as I feel like I've downgraded rather than improved my WP user experience.

Windows Phone app to sync music & Videos is a disaster, please bring Zune back, not every one can afford to use their data to stream music, especially the developing countries. Can't believe Microsoft missed this. i am not buying another Windows Phone till this is fixed, i had Focus S, now have a lumia 920.

I wish I could vote this up 1000x. My wife and I are so frustrated with Xbox Music and Windows Phone. Zune was so great but Xbox Music sucks.

To today Microsoft just lost a fan and a loyal customer. After three or four months of discussion about the problems in windows phone 8, they shut down the op on windows music to open up branches for each related issue. The real issue is that the crapped and stepped back in it with the release of that garbage they call windows phone app. I give up too, I am getting out of the Microsoft ecosystem immediately. And as an air force member, i am advising all my comrades to do the exact same. Too much time and effort to continue with the garbage solution, MS you should be ashamed.

Not everyone has windows 8 on there PC, I use windows XP and zoon worked great with 7.5 and beside ALL my music is still on zume which I can't get into my wp8 device. The only difference between you and Jesse James he wore a mask.

Just like everyone has been saying the new desktop app is GARBAGE. I truly dont understand why you would discontinue our ability to use such an amazing program (zune) and replace it with this ****.

Oh i so support this one. The current sync tool for WP8 is soooooooooooo ******** it's as if microsoft has gone back to the stone age with it. And the update, if there ever is one in the horizon is moving at a glacial pace! come on microsoft, and Windows phone team, zune was excellent! Why would you kill such a great product and replace it with trash? Your way of thinking baffles human reasoning!

Albert: nobody's suggesting removing explorer functionality. Just that we want the Zune syncing and other functionality back in addition to it.

Too bad I can't add _negative_ votes here.
Copying and moving files around should be possible from Windows Explorer.
Please don't require Zune or any program for managing files. -

Agree, what is this stupid tile? If I wanted the functionality of an android I would have bought an android. I have stopped buying songs on your marketplace because the Xbox app is terrible. 1 month and this lumia goes under my boot.
