MS is trying to unite all their products under one banner. Why on earth would they bring up a product that was a miserable failure for them. I love the Windows 8 app just as it is. I use the Xbox music app to listen to music. Why store all my music on my phone when I can pull it off the cloud?

Oh and one other HUGE thing needs to come back...the ability to rate songs....most of my auto-playlists were based off this or song plays.

At the VERY LEAST, get WiFi Syncing back as well as Auto-Playlists. If not for those two, I wouldn't still be so stuck on Zune and my Lumia 900.

Imagine my shock and dismay when I decided to stick with Windows Phone (Nokia Lumia 920) only to find out I cannot use Zune for my podcasts. Not all are available on the MS Store. I'm informed I should use Itunes. There is a reason I do not have an Iphone. I do not like ITUNES! If we cannot get Zune back how about updating the Windows Phone App, or Windows Media Player to work with podcasts.

Update Nokia/Xbox Music to automatically SORT MUSIC BY FOLDER.
Music Management is a pain. Very frustrating.

This should not be done as it poses the following problems
        1. syncing music (in Windows file explorer ) is great no hassels.
        2. If you go some place else where you need to transfer files the need for the zune software arises
        3. At home its ok to use the zune client to transfer files but not while travelling and on the go
        4. The zune client itself is terrible as previously all my media (about 15000 files showing up as 30000 files in zune) a wierd and terrible disaster.
        5. There was no way to solve the above problem ( the fourth one)
This is my honest opinion as i was a previously owning a lumia 710 and was forced to use the zune client and it was just terrible
please dont return this horror to Windows Phone 8

I have a Nokia 720 with WP8, I'm massively impressed with the way I can make the phone my own by the personalisation of the start screen, ringtones, etc.

But I am using my old iPhone 3GS... why? Because WP8 has an awful awful system of syncing music. Come on, Microsoft, sort it out! iTunes just WORKS. This is how WP8 should be!

I agree, for those of us still on Windows7. The Zune software is much better than the half baked sync app provided.

In my case, I still use Zune HD's, and my wife is still happy with WP7.8. So I still use Zune to sync those devices, and it a major bummer to not have my new phone in the loop. Don't even get me started on my ZunePass... I just canceled it because of the lack of backwards compatibility. I will reconsider returning if Zune (or a "zune like" XBM apps comes out)

Now seriously. I've been user of Lumia 800 for about half an year and, probably, 4 months out of overall period I haven't updated my phone's music library only because of Zune. It's utterly, just utterly awful, when it comes to work with music. Seriously. This software is only good for adding only 1 song at a time to a phone, but when it comes to updating whole music library, it sucks. For example, I wanted to add to my phone all songs, where an artist is present (as a track author, or a remix author). I typed in the search box his name, got the results with list of all songs where he/she is present but I just can't send that list straight to my phone. Why? Why is it so uncomfortable to work with music in this software? Really, Microsoft. When I first seen Windows Phone, i liked it so much, that few days later I bought one. I liked everything in this OS untill i wanted to upload some tracks to it. Please, redesign Zune and save WP!

For the love of all things good and holy does the new sync app S-U-C-K!!!!. I finally get a United Airlines app, and now I have to give up Zune. SERIOUSLY guys ... when I am desperately trying to support you, why does it always feel like I have to sacrifice something great and/or loved when upgrading (*cough* Start Button/Menu *cough*). If you hated the Zune branding sooo much, then just release an update of the same software, re-branding it Windows Phone Sync (or something like that). You really didn't have to give us a new terrible, half-finished, lousy attempt at starting over. I can only pray the rumors are true about the return of the Start Menu to Windows 8, and booting straight to desktop. I can see now that you are not going to bring the Zune Software back, fine. At least return it's features, functionality, and interface to your new app, soon. And while you are working on that, tell someone from Skype (which you OWN) to improve the lousy app.

Bring back Zune, NOW!!! Why, why why am I unable to use it anymore all of the sudden? I've been using WP7 phone since Samsung focus. Now on my Lumia 920, zune won't work? Come on!

      • VICTORVICTOR commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

Please bring back Zune. Xbox music really sucks and you know it. I might buy a Windows Phone 7.8 to replace my Lumia 920 just for Zune. When I bought my notebook I was excited to use Zune on a touch screen, then I found out you replaced it there too. Xbox music on my computer is by far the worst thing about Windows 8. I deleted it, and downloaded Zune. Why get us accustomed to one music player and replace it with a horrible one? If you won't support your products, I'll just ship to Android.

Com"n son, this ish is ridiculous, but what can you expect from a tax evading company like Microsoft...

      • Anonymous commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

It's really disappointing how you people removed Zune from supporting WP8> That was quite stupid.
