Inexcusably absent feature!! I hate that I'm in debt to T-Mobile for my Lumia 810. This is a standard for smartphones, Microsoft. FYI

This is insanity. Over 6 months in...How does Microsoft expect people to stay loyal...i thought I was investing in an ecosystem. Buy on Xbox, watch on phone. I realized I can't when I was trying to sync up for a weekend of flying.

Syncing isn't the only issue.

Learned that amazon prime is ios and android only for video as well. I enjoyed Zune videos from the previous iteration before Xbox live. Although even the credits for even the older movies worked out to 2.50 u.s. While a quick red box run was a 1.00 u.s. For the same movie rental. Hard to believe it is Microsoft's very own products that are incompatible with each other. The whole point of migrating from the old 7.5 SDK was single core support for CE to dual core support NT kernel. You sell the shiny new car with a bigger engine and tell us the keys are locked in the trunk. I thought about a Samsung ATIV 700T to watch Xbox live movies on... But, going the IPad 4 quad A6 1GB ddr2 128GB SSD route now due to more provided features and opportunities.. I.E. Amazon prime, AppleApp store etc. I just went to the McDonalds website android apple only app. Then proceeded to 128 more city, state, federal, commercial sites and all have no windows app options. This is incredible, I can understand the economics of it. Only 800,000 windows phone 8 devices in 8 months of production does keep the developers away... No money to be made... Even jawbone up.. Sorry, no money in windows, so, no accessory devices and apps forthcoming. I am sure windows phones can take the same twelve year path as the Xbox to turn a profit. By that time, we will have reach the end of moore's law, and the devices will be omnipresent. Good luck with the roadmap and plan A with detours.

I can't tell you how inconvenient it is that I can't watch Xbox Video purchases on the phone when WP7 could!

My guess is that MS felt that they weren't getting enough phone downloads to justify video support. Maybe Nokia and/or Amazon will step up to the plate and give WP a video store. I don't know how much business Windows Phone is losing because of this policy but MS is in no position to p*ss off any potential WP customers right now.

I wish we could get an answer on this issue one way or another. Is the video service coming or not coming? It's not a difficult question.

The lack of XBOX video support or any other significant downloadable video service is a joke. Even Blackberry has a video store. I thought this was just going to be a temporary stutter step of WP8 but now I'm not so sure.

If this isn't fixed within a few weeks, I'll be trading my Lumia 920 for an iPhone 5 & switching all my music & vid purchases to iTunes. Won't be waiting around for "Blue" which isn't until the end of the year. I will wait only until the end of May and then it's goodbye Microsoft hello Apple!

Since they are ignoring this, may I suggest that users should look into pirating content instead of waiting for Microsoft to fix Xbox Video.

I can't believe this feature is missing from Win Phone 8. I switched from Android because I wanted access to my zune and xbox purchased content, including video. If I had known of this restriction before buying I would have passed. I'm seriously considering returning my 8X and getting the HTC One (Android) in a few weeks instead.
This was a monumentally boneheaded oversight on Microsoft's part. How about an ETA on when this will be fixed.

I switched from the lumia 900 7.8 because it wouldn't play my zune purchased videos. Was this a grand mistake? Whomever is fixing this, please do it soon. Patience wears thin.

I have bought countless videos from zune/xbox video for years. Spent hundreds of dollars to watch them when ever or were ever I may be. Bought this wp8 to do just that and this option isn't available. What the heck was you thinking not giving this option to people. Or should I say WHAT WAS I THINKING BUYING THIS PHONE. BAD BAD MOVE.
