Add File Manager to Windows Phone
Add File Manager to Windows Phone 8
boycott Windows phone Platform…
We strongly object to the policy of Microsoft And manipulation of decisions.
Will give you 30 days only.
To provide an integrated file manager for Windows Phone.
And install applications on external card.
Otherwise, will direct all our support and our development system for Android.
Note: Before the period was published the news of the completion of the vote on the file manager and will be available, and then was to undo this decision on the grounds of error.
This is considered a lack of respect for Microsoft customers.
WINDOWS PHONE DEVELOPERS IN ARAB WORLD
This is how I see it:
Having a file manager is a necessity. I understand that a lot of users who do not utilize their smartphones to any extent beyond basic Office, music and video files have no use for it. However, for users like me, who have to work with other file types, this is an absolute must. Additionally, the lack of an SD card slot and/or USB on-the-go support on Flagship devices such as the Lumia 920 is a horrible lack of foresight if you are not adding a file manager for your internal drive.
My suggestion to Microsoft is this:
Hold your position on not having a file manager for the entirety of the file system if you must, even if it's restrictions such as these that influence and inspire hackers and 3rd party roms. Just make an update that creates a designated folder, say, "My Downloads" or "My Files" and an app that only accesses that folder (for all your security concerns) for all those "other" files. If a user places files into that folder from the PC, then those files will be shown in that folder via that app so that they can be shared/attached etc. Same goes for files/attachments being downloaded... if they are not recognized by the OS, put them in that folder. Essentially, this would work like an SD card segment inside the internal storage. Maybe in the future this can be utilized just like an SD card and .xap files can be installed directly from here as well.
Please add file manager like you do on previous versions... And add option for external storage for apps & attachments from store. We need it!
We need fully opened file manager to make all operations with files as WM 6.5 had.
File manager support for WP office files, pictures & music

c'est vraiment incroyable qu'une fonction essentiel ne soit pas intégrer.
Sorry folks. I just installed 8.1 BETA. OneDrive is virtually unchanged. Email still can only attach photos.
Perhaps they'll modify this before 8.1 is officially released? We'll find out soon.
Personally, I'm on the OneDrive bandwagon.
1) Let us sync selected folders for offline use (long press, sync).
2) Automatically keep OneDrive files synced if/when modified and when wifi is found again.
3) Let us change file extensions.
4) Let other apps browse (offline) OneDrive files and see files beyond their registered file extension (extensions are so freaking 1990's).
5) Give OneDrive full access to the local SDCard and local Downloads folder.
113667 people have already voted for this and there is no clear solution yet? When you go to send an email, and you select add attachment, the phone asks you for the location of the photo you want to attach. What if I want to attach a pdf or any other file. Please make this happen to avoid losing more customers. Remember that "user-friendly" should not mean "pretty, but doesn't do ****."
Just to clarify: File picker is present in wp8.1 (I tried) and apps can act as file provider
WP 8.1 will enable file management as far as I know, so developers should be able to build a file manager :D
Зробіть вже нарешті файловий менеджер для WP8.1
I'm Indonesian. I do not need cortana, I need file manager.
It is really a pain in the *ss not having a file Explorer in WP8. It simply is impossible to Access files on your NAS share or on any Computer within your Network or send files to them. NO, I do not want to work with OneDrive only - I simply want to Access the NAS underneath my desk. It is rediculous to expect users to buy a new NAS that has a web Interface for accessing the files. Nobody will buy a new Server in order to be able to use a phone... There is absolutely NO pont in referring to Apple not having a File Explorer coming with it. If I wanted to have a phone being like iPhoneI would have bought an iPhone!!! I simply want my Windows Explorer on the Phone like I have it on My Notebook or even on the RT Tablet. I simply cannot believe Microsoft is starting to be like the same Religion like Apple having their prophets telling the People."If it isn't there - you don't Need it!" Please don't tell your customers how they MUST work! You may give suggestions - but you shouldn't try to force People to work in a certain way.

I don't think, that this is SO MUCH important feature (we have folders in OneDrive app, in pictures etc.), but one place for everything, for all of us files and folders will be better.
