Third party alarm app enhancements (custom sound & snooze time)

In Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango), Microsoft gives developers the ability to create reliable alarms (Microsoft.Phone.Scheduler.Alarm) that always work regardless whether the app is active or not.

However, there are a couple of major drawbacks.

First, you can’t select stock ringtones or songs from your own music library for this alarm sound.

Second, you can't change the duration of the snooze time.

Sadly these problems remain in Windows Phone 8 (Apollo).

Can we please have these fixed in the next phone update?

        Yes true....in my previous Nokia 52 with symbian the "to do" app in calendar kept ringing untill i dismiss or snooze in any time i like!
        Now in my Lumia 800 it gives a poor sound for 1 second and the snooze time can't be choosen at will? I lose a lot of reminders now because of that ****** sound notification.
        I searched like crazy for any app that will do this job, but i cant find it?? Maybe MS must implemend symbian into WP. Why not? cooperation works both ways.

        Can't use my own songs... Hope it can be solved.
        The everyday alarm is the only one, can't be added more in a day's alarm.
        By the way, the to do list can't be shown by the days.All the things just be shown together, I'll usually forgot which day needs to do what thing.

        I wish i could choose my own song for the alarm clock
