Would be great in the multitasking screen. I miss some possibility to close apps right there.

Disastrous!!! Maybe in the multitasking screen, but when in it? **** no.

To be able to do it with 2 fingers swipe down. And also add more multitouch gestures!!!

Potentially run finger from top right to bottom left of screen in one movement should minimise the app.

this could be useful /IF/ implemented in the multitasking "card" view (The screen that appears when you hold in the back button.). It would sort of be a reverse version of WebOS' card view (Whereas WP you would flick down in WebOS you flick up)

This feature would be an another gimmik!, it will not enhance the UI. To kill the app you can press the back button in windows phone. This feature is on Windows 8 because there is no dedicated back key.

That wouldn't be so great in scrolling applications. Perhaps designating one part of the screen so you can hold it for a moment, then flick down would be good, instead of simply flicking or dragging it down.

I need to use several apps at once so I use the back button to access running apps. However it also closes apps which drives me nuts. Drag down would be a perfect fix.

flick down to close an application from the multitasking mode and not from the app itself assigning only a precise function to the back button i.e. to go back in an app and not the os itself.

Or....Just allow us to also customize how we close the window; whether its by flicking up, down or long pressing the window for some fun exit effect (flushes down a toilet, converts into paper basketball and u flick it in hoop, etc...) just really thinking outside the box

I can see problems with this on a mobile device though. Until WP8 scrolls sideways on the home screen instead of down, this would be hard to implement. Great idea though, especially when considering the possible eventual removal of hardware buttons.

Same way windows 8 does it... It will help the one sytem many devices they are trying to create with the Windows 8.

How would you do this without initiating a scroll?
and how is this easier than double-tapping on the back button??

One of the first things I did when I got my WP8 phone was to drag down from the top to close an App - like I do on Windows 8. Come on MS, you want closer integration, make it happen in the Windows Blue update for WP8.
