Just voted twice for this, you see this is why Windows Phone is falling behind the rest... at this point Blackberry will climb back to third place in no time. Wake up Microsoft!

Just saw online that Nokia is releasing an update which will activate FM radio and a lock screen clock, no mention of this feature that we are asking for, it doesn't look good; seems like Nokia is ignoring us just like Microsoft.

Hi Nick, It's actually not that hard to do, a developer has already made a home brew for WP7 which does this but since MS opted to ad safe boot to WP8 there is no way to root your phone to side load this app or many other useful homebrew apps unlike all these 3rd party wanna be instagram or Facebook apps, enough with those already MS!!

Yeap Scotty, If we can get these idiots at MS to give us this feature, I'm not done here, there is a list of stuff that needs to be addressed that was avilable on Windows Mobile that is missing from Windows Phone that needs to be brought back. They will be hearing from me for a long time to come and if they don't listen to us, they can't come back and say we didn't suggest it.

So I'm online reading about this GDR2 update for Windows Phone 8 and it mentions things like a new lock screen clock and the option to double tap the screen to wake the phone up, oh and the possible return of FM radio wich is good but no mention about actuall stuff that we want like SMS tones.... I really hope Nokia isn't as stupid as MS.

So no real resonses yet? SMH. No official respons from MS nor Nokia. I would expect this from MS but not from Nokia, I don't understand what the **** is going on here, this is very simple, make a fucken update to enable the feature and stop making fucken excuses already. I am with ckee, enough with the fucken tile sizes already, that went out back in the 80's with Tetris!

If you think about it MS never let go of the KIN. All WP is KIN on steroids. MS has been wanting to use tiles since then but then they wanted to do this by using the Apple approach where ever feature they took away from Windows mobile would be new feature on Windows Phone.
Now MS is realizing that their approach to this wasn't a smart move, It is rumored that they are now thinking about bringing back the desktop and start button to Windows 8 with the blue update after sales of it sucked ***.

LOL. Third place?? Is that all? Well MS here is your wake up call. Stunts like this not being able to add custom notification sounds is what is keeping you there. http://pocketnow.com/2013/04/01/windows-phone-is-growing

LOL... Microsoft planning on releasing commercials to rebrand it's self and clean up its image. They are also wondering why they are fighting an up hill battle with iOS and Android. http://www.wpcentral.com/microsoft-will-rebrand-itself-three-60-second-commercial-spots

That's what I said ckee, lol the fan boys with their excuses for WP. Honestly there should be no excuse for this, come one really since 2011, we are in 2013 and this function was available on WM back in 2006 and still is on most other OS's... so give credit to them where? I've seen this so called Windows Blue and you know what they changed? You can now have even smaller tiles on your home screen on Windows 8. So what will change in Windows Blue for Windows Phone? Probably nothing or maybe even smaller tiles?

This is something that should have been adressed years ago. I really hope they are not holding off on this for Windows Phone 9 instead of releasing it now as an update because if they are, we won't have the option untill 2014.

I know that someone over at MS has got to be seeing these numbers go up; I mean we are almost at 40,000 votes and they are doing nothing about it but running around scratching their heads as to why the Surface RT was a flopp and why neither Windows Phone or Windows 8 is selling.

Yea Scotty that was the fan boy's excuse when Windows Phone came out LOL. I remember being called a troll and all kinds of stuff when speaking the truth about this matter. It's been 2 years since so I wonder what excuse the fan boys have now?

Microsoft at the very least should come out and say something like "Guys we are working on it" or "it's coming on the next update".

I agree; Windows Mobile kicks Windows Phone's butt when coming to useful apps and functionality; sure Windows Phone is faster and slicker and doesn't freeze up like WM use to but it is so locked down. Come one Microsoft stop trying to secure everything like Apple.

Wow I am surprized that this suggestion doesn't have that many votes now that WP8 is out. I mean you can connect your phone to the computer and you can browse your files that way, why not a native app on the phone that does the same thing?

This should be a no brainer for Microsoft... you can connect your phone to your PC and browse your files via a file exploere so why not fron your phone? Duh!!! By the way, I've seen this response above before; almost like it's a bot responding and not a real person. hum??? :\
