      A full Phone Backup over zune would be very helpful, to feel save.
      There is no need to change or edit the backup file - just backup the full phone content - interchangeable between different WP7/8 Hardware

        I just want to sync my outlook contacts, calendar and tasks to my phone without having my data in a cloud. simple sync over usb / bluetooth / wlan.
        Look at Symbian. It's not that hard

          This feature is now available in Windows Phone 8. Please note that while Windows Phone 8 doesn’t support USB mass storage with a full file explorer, it does support reading/writing pictures, music, videos and ringtones very similar to the way you normal would with a USB drive.
