Uh, hellooo?! Slick revamped OS, shiny new cool-as-ya-like handsets, a growing flow of new adopters moving from iOS and/or [f]android to join the already-loyal XboxWP supporters, many sold on the strength [or at least the impression of] Microsoft providing a seamless integration between WP8 and XBL - I should know, I'm one of those recent adopters and Xbox integration was a factor - and it now looks like Microsoft is ABANDONING WP8 as a platform? What?! Like I said: Hellooo?! Is anybody home?!

The potential for Microsoft to develop a kick-*** extension to my XB experience is MASSIVE - aside from the XBLA ports of top titles and/or extras [a Happy Wars companion app would be cool, f'rinstance], the enhancement and extension of major AAA franchises [such as those hinted at by the OP, plus countless other titles] on to WP, providing additional depth and enrichment to XB gamers of all levels/interests is a no-brainer for Microsoft, surely?

If not, it should be! Over here in the UK, one of the Lumia ads featured James Corden hard-selling Windows Phone on the strength of it's link with Xbox gaming! Do your bit, Microsoft; support your own interests and, more importantly, support [and maybe treat, occasionally!] your countless [mostly paying, I imagine] loyal Xbox subscribers, who choose WP expecting Xbox content!
